Ric Bucher Explains Why Lakers Will Be Very Beatable in NBA Playoffs

Listen to NBA insider Ric Bucher join The Doug Gottlieb Show to explain why he’s not a big believer in LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers making a deep run during next week’s playoffs at the NBA’s Bubble even though LA comfortably sits atop the Western Conference standings at the moment.

Despite both Bucher and Gottlieb actually liking LA’s potential first round matchup with a scary Blazers team, who Colin Cowherd even called the ‘greatest eight seed in NBA history’, Bucher doesn’t see the Lakers having enough juice to advance past a Rockets team they will likely meet in the second round, or a Clippers team who will be the favorite to advance the conference finals on their side of the bracket.

The Lakers are just 3-4 at the Orlando restart, and needed heroic last second comebacks against the Clippers and Nuggets just to attain two of those W’s.

Check out the segment above as Bucher details why he doesn’t think a passive LeBron, paired with a Lakers roster that seems flat and inattentive without the presence of feisty guards Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley, will have the horses to become the first player in league history to win NBA Finals MVP with three different franchises.
