On the heels of trading Giancarlo Stanton to the Yankees, MLB super agent Scott Boras was quoted at the Winter Meetings saying that the Marlins have turned into a pawn shop.
Ben Maller thinks that Boras had the right idea, but didn't quite go far enough. Maller thinks the Derek Jeter run Marlins are more like an estate sale at this point. No decent pawn shop owner would have let Stanton go for the pile of nothing that they got back.
