Antonio Brown Reportedly Nearing an Agreement With the Buccaneers

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have emerged as the favorites to sign former All-Pro free agent Antonio Brown, as Schefter says former teammate Tom Brady is the ‘driving force’ behind the Bucs and AB suddenly ‘working towards an agreement.’

Brown is 31 years old and hasn’t played since Week 2 of last season when he caught as a touchdown pass from Brady as a member of the New England Patriots.

Brown will not only be uniting with Brady, but also with Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians, who overlapped with AB for one season when he was the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Brown's rookie season.

Despite the belief that Arians would throw the controversial wide receiver a life preserver, he has outright denied a reunion in the past, even at one time during interviews saying that he didn't have a very close relationship with Brown.

Tampa is already loaded at wide receiver with All-Pro wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but they don't have very much experience at the slot position, with second-year player Scotty Miller filling that void at the moment.
