NBA Refs Will Tweet With Fans During Games

Referee official Sean Wright makes a call during the game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves

The NBA announced that referees will be live tweeting during two games next week, giving fans a way to ask questions or vent their frustration over missed calls. The referees will have access to all the replays at the league’s replay center in Secaucus, New Jersey.

The refs will be available during Monday night's game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, and on Wednesday night when the San Antonio Spurs play against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Fans can tweet their questions at @OfficialNBARefs or join the conversation using #RefWatchParty

The NBA tested out the idea during game three of last year's NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Warriors. They plan to try the experiment a few more times throughout the season and during the playoffs.
