Floyd Mayweather Settles Cryptocurrency Case With Over $600,000

Boxer Floyd Mayweather is paying over $600,000 to settle a cryptocurrency case.  The Securities and Exchange Commission went after Mayweather and DJ Khaled after they promoted the cryptocurrency Centra without disclosing that they were getting paid to do so.  Floyd reportedly got $300,000 to promote it, while DJ Khaled got $50,000.  Authorities had previously established that the crypto coin Centra was operating illegally and was essentially a giant scam.  Khaled paid over $150,000 in his settlement.  Both stars have agreed to hold off promoting any sort of currency for at least the next two to three years.
